The International Student Appreciation Dinner at Emporia State University’s School of Business was a night to remember! With about 90-100 students and faculty members in attendance, the event was a vibrant celebration of cultures, bringing people together through food and conversation.
A Fully Represented Community
The event saw full representation from both faculty and students, making it a true reflection of the School of Business’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. Professors, staff, and students came together to share experiences, enjoy traditional dishes, and appreciate the global perspectives that enrich the learning environment at ESU.

A Global Feast: Food from Around the World
The evening featured an incredible variety of dishes from countries including Ghana, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Mexico, Japan, China, and more. From jollof rice and plantains to tacos, fried rice, chicken, shrimp, and beans every plate told a story of tradition and heritage. Students proudly introduced their national dishes, making the dinner a true culinary and cultural exchange.
